New Election Year Format
Hi everyone.
Just a quick not to let you know that we’re moving the long posts from the past two years to the Longform section of the AAL site — and, thanks to your suggestions, turning a good number of them into podcasts, too.
We’ll still be writing the long stuff a lot of you like, and when it drops we’ll include a link in the main blog. But for the most part, given the year we’re heading into, the body of the blog will look a lot more Drudge-y — and though we’ll be adding super quick commentary to the articles we’re linking to.
If you want to be wonky, which, obviously, we entirely embrace over here, you could consider the new blog format a bibliography that gives you guys a sense of where our thinking is coming from; sort of a deep dive into the AAL rabbit hole.
It’s basically a format shift we came up with to give you the empirical data you need to be having conversations online or IRL that are more than just shouting. And since we’re about to be back in an election year, that seemed like a good plan to us.
See you on the flip side — Roll on 2020!
